Justyn, Jaymeson & Julia's First Day

Here you go Jayson, here are pictures on Justyn, Jaymeson & Julia's first day that I took. I think their parents have some as well but we all know they'll never post them or the kids will graduate by the time they do it. From my perspective all things went real good. One grandchild wouldn't pose by the sign but there was no sense of upsetting anything before one got in the door. I witnessed all the parents leaving school with no one chasing after them so I took that as a good sign and returned to work for the first time this week. Look for other pictures tomorrow including me taking Dunc to his pre-school now that warm ups are over with his Mom & Dad!!!! What's for breakfast Dunc???

Maine is Beautiful

Maine was beautiful but you need to take your time to enjoy it. We didn't make it all the way north to the St. Croix River and Island but I am sure we will when we return someday. I took 615 pictures and could have taken double that but then we would have never got to the next site. Shopping, food and views you can't see anywhere else. We went from the highest mountain on the eastern seaboard to walking on the beach. The LL Bean outlet would cover our downtown for those who want to shop and seafood at every stop. This homebody recommends Maine as a place to relax and enjoy and try and get your spouse to take a few more steps......just kidding as I had to change after a few nose bleeds!!!!

The dunc started his first day of school today. He was excited about going and never even batted an eye when we told him we were leaving. We found out why when we picked him up...he had a blast. He traced his own name, colored, painted, played outside and sang songs. Mom and dad held up pretty good also. As a matter a fact, unlike the time I almost totaled my car the first time I dropped him off at mary's, I made it to school without any close encounters today. As for Amy, she had a 25 minute drive, to a certain school that I don't mention, and who knows what happened.

Golfing Again

For all you Golfer's out there still checking the Blog there is an upcoming golf event. Every ones favorite Uncle(Uncle Jon) is arranging a golf outing for Labor Day. Uncle Jan is supposedly coming up as Far as Alder Creek. I think if we push it we could get him to come golf Turin. If anyone is interested give Uncle Jon a call you can all find or get his number, here is a hint 493-7#5#. Well if any other girls out there please feel free to join Jan so he is not the only one for the guys maybe next year you can join our tour too. Let us know ASAP thanks ladies.

Nicholas growing like a weed

Jill took Nicholas to the Doctor's last week and let's say he isn't missing too many meals as he is up over 13 lbs. I think the T-shirt says it all!!!! Sorry he won't share, Tone-dog!!!

I was sent this picture on my phone from Grandpa Jan of his grandson Bryce. Jessie had sent it to Jan. If I didn't know better I would swear it was one of Jan's baby pictures. What do you think???? Jessie send some more please, what a cutie.....

Greetings From Myrtle

Greetings from Myrtle. Everything is going great so far. No hospital visits...yet. Then again Jean and Cathy haven't gone to dinner yet this year. We found out that Sam really does like the beach as long as he can shovel for 3 hours and dig a tench big enough for all the kids. Tula loves the big waves and the beach as does Dunc with the shovels. Jared and Gabby are still engaged so that is a good sign. Tula managed to make it safely down in the car. More posts to follow, have a lot to drink.

When Matt says he is using his irons it may not mean golfing!!! What hole could he possibly be prepping for with this iron???? Nice job Matt but you left before you finished mine..... must have been in a hurry but for who?????

Going on the Road

I just thought you boys might like to know that Uncle Jon, Jess, and myself are taking our golf talent on tour to end the summer. We will be joining Jess' wife Becky for a AUSA tounament the end of August. Then we will be showcasing with another lady on the tour i mean Uncle Jan with the four of us playing a Cpt N Crew Sept. 5 @ Willowbrook GC. I guess we will be finding out how our talented Family does out in the public. Anyway just thought i would post something since most people probaly forgot we have this now that SOMBA is over.

August Days to Celebrate!!!

Okay I am finally doing the job of posting important dates for August before the first one is celebrated. So here are the days you should know for August:

August 1 - the start of the last month of vacation for those teachers out there which will have to return to their seasonal part time jobs in September. The vacation will soon be over.

August 8 - Jayson (Fred) will celebrate his 32ND birthday on 8-8-08. Happy birthday your gifts will arrive just after Labor Day in assorted shapes, sizes and colors.

August 17 - that would Me, yes Jayme has a birthday and only 3 more to go until retirement and then I will have no excuse not to post these days on time.

August 25 - Jordan will celebrate his 25TH birthday on the 25th in the Sunshine State of Florida.

August 27 - Jean and Cathy will celebrate another anniversary. I hope Jean doesn't take her out for dinner for their anniversary to cut her head open while they are in Myrtle Beach again.

If I missed anyone please let me know and feel free to make comments. My comment would be that there are not many August birthdays. I'll throw a $50 out to anyone that wants to add to this month as August is my favorite month. Get busy in November if you want to add a birth!!! Any takers???

Mark, JD, Grandma, and Papa at the 1812

Last weekend JD & Mark played against each other in the 1812. Grandma & Papa were there even though the weather did not cooperate. JD Played defense & Mark was offense so it was fun to watch. JD's team won by 1. The boys were nice enough to pose for a picture at the end.

Saying Novenas Pays Off

Mark and I were doing a casual nine holes when we got to number nine red, at Willowbrook. I heard Jan bragging about his eagle and I got one. But number nine is a par 3, 110 yards. I made it in one shot which I think is also a HOLE IN ONE!! I used an 8 iron. It felt great. I'm still shaking. Maybe you guys should go to church once in a while and say a "Novena". I can teach you if you want me to!!

Little Saints Attend Doodlebop Concert

Second row seats for these little saints as they wait for the doodlebops to perform on Saturday at the Arena. Popcorn, drinks and cotton candy kept them full but all eyes were on the doodlebops with Julia claiming they waved at her because they saw her when she watched them on tv!!!! Imagine that??? Jon did think Deedee was pretty cute but with 4 girls he's a little partial to pink!!!

Saints Summer Tour

I am not sure about the rest of you but I would still like to golf this summer. I am going to plan on Golfing next Friday the 1st of Aug. If anyone is interested let me know i am not sure where yet maybe i will finall hit up Willowbrook this year or if there is any out of towners that want to go where can maybe meet somewhere who knows. All i know is my golf card is paid off, my arm dont hurt, and you guys dont stand a chance. Who is in or do i golf by myself ? See ya boys.

2008 FAMILY REUNION

Here are just a few pictures that I think sum up the weekend. Reading down those two that started all of this for without them we would not be. While we all are not always on the same team the four different cloths could have easily stood for 4 of us in cloth diapers at one time. Next we have our youngest member Nicolas Anthony (sorry Jon but you have to plan it better, maybe the next one???); and there is teamwork; family traits (daring or foolish you be the judge Tim & Jared); patience award goes to Ryan who was on the Red Hatter's Team; our future golfers who can't wait until next year; the oldest in age and oldest BS'er; Concession appreciation - Gigi's nachos were a hit but next year could you get cotton candy for Nana; confessions are always available anytime even at the reunion; the most fruitful son (just 3 more to go Jon); and last but not least, these two say it all - family + friends = forever fun!!!
