Tone Dog runs the Green Lake Race

Hidden just outside of Syracuse along with Anthony's name in on the board there is a NYS Park called Green Lake. I think they call it green lake because you have to shell out 7 green ones to get in, some runners wear green and the lake even on a cloudy day appears green. Why Anthony chose to run this we will never know but it was worth being a spectator to watch a green tone-dog cross the line. The park is beautiful and if you wonder why NYS is short on funds this Park is being renovated including bringing in the sand for a beach!!! Real nice Park the Roosevelt hope develop in his era. Tone-dog must have thought you had to wear green or something as that was his color for the day. He finished the race and we enjoyed paying $7 bucks to see him cross the line. I guess we got a deal as Jill paid $7 for a 10 minute ride into the Park Saturday in the pouring rain just so Anthony could see where it was!!!!

THE #6 and Jon

Has anyone noticed the comparisons: He was born on 2/4 which adds to 6, Ely was child #6, Ely was born on the 24th which adds to 6, his 1st visit to Yankee stadium was on 6/6/06 (Yankees won 2-1), the sixth youngest of Janice and Jim (except by Scottish law), and finally guaranteed for a couple of 6's during a round of golf..

Ely Jon has come

Ely Jon weighing in at 7 lbs. 13 oz. entered the world on Monday August 24th at 8:57 a.m. He was 21 inches long (the same length his father drives a golf ball) and his parents are doing fine. I understand all his siblings were waiting to see him. What a lucky guy or not .... 4 sisters!!!! Josh you better him out!!!! Congratulations to you all. Photos taken by number 28's Grandfather. No not Jon remember he's the Dad but rather his father. Who would have thought Big Papa would pull out all his technology skills for his new grandchild???? Now if we can get him to make a comment on this blog on his own we will have a preview of the family will!!!!!

Let me know i would not mind having a warm up outting for Matts little golf tourney in utica if it is going on. Who knows i have not heard a thing about it or anything maybe it was a one and done thing or maybe someone is dropping the ball.

Darien Lake Trip

The crew and I spent last weekend in Darien Lake and we had a blast. The girls started out on the little kid rides and graduated to the fast "big rides". They quickly learned the art of holding your hands in the air and screaming. We thought we would try out a game real quick just so they could see how they worked...big mistake. First was the color game....50 cents, pick a color, dude throws the ball, lands on your color, you win. Sure enough, Hannah won. That's when I realized two problems. One, now they think that this is normal and they expect to win every game. And two, there are two other kids that need to win now. Luckily, daddy is pretty skilled at the squirt gun game and we made out alright. All in all it was a good time so I thought I would share some pictures.

Jon's Hat....

There once was a man who owned a red hat.
It was ugly with a big "B" and all that.
So we got together to make it better...
by crossing out that big ugly letter.
Yet it still needed something on the face,
so we added some pretty purple curly lace.
Now he can wear it around town ...
without getting mocked, depressed and down.

Girls just want to have fun......

I can't believe I got the girls to sit for a 5 minute photo session. Hannah & Tula only sat long enough for 2 clicks of the camera but Jennah and Julia would have sat all night. The pictures came out so good I'd thought I would share them with you!!!! Notice right foot, left foot with the the twins picture. Good thing Papa Jay's fence will be able to keep the boys out!!!!

August 8th: Firstborn Grandson Jayson will celebrate #33, Boy, we're all getting old!

August 17th: Secondborn Son Jayme will ignore #53, two years until retirement!!!

August 22nd: JoAnna Leigh(JoJo) and Shawn Malone will become one! Congratulations!!!

August 25th: Jordan will celebrate 26 years in Florida.

August 27th: Jean and Cathy will celebrate number 15(Jean thinks?)

August ???? Eli will make his greatly anticipated arrival, the sooner the better.

Happy Celebrations of Life to all of you!!!! We definitely have the whole family thing going on this month, from "Births to Marriage to Birthdays and Anniversaries" !!! We are truly blessed.

How far can Jon drive a ball???

So, Jon, I was telling man's best friend about you trying to drive a little golf ball to the road from your daughter's front porch. I told Jayda May that it didn't seem to go very far and I said," I should be able to do that". So, I got out of the chair and tried it for the first time ever. Well it almost went as far as Uncle Jon's. I said to Jayda "that Uncle Jon must have been a little embarrassed because he tried it again". This time the ball didn't go as far as the first time he hit it, but the club did, in the air. I didn't know in this game, if the ball didn't go very far that you got to toss the club. So, I tried it again with the ball and thank God I didn't have to throw the club because my second ball went almost to the road up near the telephone pole farther than Uncle Jon's. Well needless to say, Uncle Jon's clubs are in the backyard for Jayda to piss on them. I think that is what he said. Perhaps that will help his game a little. As for me, don't worry Jayda, I am not going to leave you to play what appears to be a very frustrating game!!!! Jayda is giving you the raspberries, Uncle Jon.
