Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

The kids don't seem to mind all this snow. In fact they actually seem to enjoy it.
Lesson learned.....make the best of it and if they can enjoy it well....I can enjoy watching them have fun!!! Sure will miss them when I retire and move to St. Croix Island!!!! For those that are wondering if Jayson is enjoying another day off of school due to the snow he is not; he is celebrating Martin Luther King Day!!!

GOOD NEWS - Bad News

The good news is that H.R. Block headquarters offered the Franchisee of Year our own Jo Ann St. Croix free tickets to the SUPER BOWL .... yes the Super Bowl. Warm and sunny Miami vs cold freezing Watertown. Congratulations Jo Ann! The Bad News is that she declined because being the diligent owner that won her the award in the first place she is putting her customers first and staying home during this peek tax time. So now we can all watch the game and wonder where Jo Ann and someone (you know me I would have declined also) would have been sitting.

Dunk Celebrates his 4th Birthday

I will post this celebration because apparently his parents don't have time even though they didn't have to work at their part-time job today (snow day no school). Poor Julian celebrated his 4Th birthday with a fabulous "Construction Party" that was enjoyed by all last Saturday. We may even think about renting out the gym for Sunday meals. The kids were so busy and had so much fun they didn't want to leave. Jayson set up in true fashion.....Amy where do you want this???? They had a construct a picture frame station that you put your own picture into, play-dough section with cut outs (tip - don't eat any of Amy's cut out cookies from here on), block construction, construction toys and the best ...... construct your own sandwich from paint trays - paint buckets and etc.... All this on top of the toys the day care has was a great time. The boys and Matt tried to construct a basketball game at one end of the gym but once Amy saw Gina was embarrassing Matt she blew her whistle on the game.

January DATES to keep in mind

Well the first date is over as Nana turned 98 on January 3rd. God bless and thanks for keeping her healthy all these years.

January 8th - Gabby, soon to be the next Mrs. Saint celebrates her birthday. I wonder if Jared will be getting her a spare purse or a urinal.

January 23 - Jon & Jenny will celebrate their anniversary.

Happiness and Health to you all to start 2009 or the new saying for '09 as I understand it...."it is what it is" and for me just another 30 months until retirement.

Pre-Christmas Concert - A time to reflect

Shortly before Christmas Jo Ann and I had the opportunity to get into the Christmas Spirit by attending a Christmas Concert put on by Transform a singing group from the parish that plays guitars, drums, horns and keyboards. It was a snowy night and only a small crowd ventured out. Needless to say other than a few bathroom breaks it was time to reflect on how truly lucky we are to be able to share times like this to really get into the Christmas spirit. The grand kids loved it and remained glued to the band for over 2 hours. Some even took up the invitation to perform with them on stage. After the grandchildren found out that Christmas brought them drums and guitars they plan to put on a concert in the Church. I hope God and Fr. Kennedy will see it happen some day. God bless and I hope they don't inherit my music ability....thanks Dad.

Nana's turns 98

They say once you are older birthdays don't mean anything but today Nana felt special that Rose and Jeff hosted a birthday party for her. Even after I slammed her hand in the car door she commented all the way home how nice the party was and how everyone did so much especially Jan (I tried to exchange his financial gift with bill of a lesser value but at 98 she can still see $$$). She also thought it was nice to get out and see everyone and how lucky we were that we didn't have much snow this winter. So, when she told me how much money Jon gave her I corrected her right away. Somethings are best left unsaid but no way was I going to have her think Jon gave her too much$$$$!!!! Glad it was a nice party and thanks Rose & Jeff for hosting. Jeff I hope you get those dishes done before your next game. I would have helped you but after closing Nana's hand in the door it was best for Rose's china I went home. The kids want to know when Mark is having another party......how about a sleep over Mark????

Here are a few pictures of Christmas 2008

Okay Jon I hope you are satisfied. Here are some of the pictures you requested. Especially like the one of you and Jan and your grand kids....oops my bad, I mean your daughter. It was so nice to see everyone and the kids were all so good. It is always nice to get together and make some memories that will last a life time. Only wish I would have taken a few of Nana but it was too busy. I am sure you have some Jon please post them. Thanks to all of you for making our Christmas even better.
