Papa and Grama would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas with these blasts from the past. No need for my sarcastic comments, these pics are great. I now know where my dad was coming from when he made us sit through endless hours of torture and costing him thousands of dollars worth of film. Thankfully he was instilled with the great attributes and values of his parents which I hopefully will continue with my mini clan. Thank you Big Papa and Big Grama(oh, I got my tumor removed and graduated, now what?), Mom and Dad. Love you guys and keep the memories coming. Oh, Papa, if you have anything else you would like to post on the blog, you should know better than to ask any of your sons. Jeano doesn't call me your boy Blue for nothing.

Great job Jayson, I am sure Papa and Grandma appreciate it....wouldn't surprise me if a little extra something was left in the will for you. Perhaps a box of Kleenex to wipe the brown off your nose? Seriously, I love the cards. Doesn't seem all that long ago...2 rolls of film...our life threatened if we were the one that ruined the picture!!!! However, you need to analyze the pictures for instance Joel is always near Jan...don't know why Jon got blamed for the fire at the cottage obviously those two were close...???? Then there is Jon next to Jim....could it be Jon was Jim's idol??? Good God anyone know what baseball team Jim likes??? Then there are the sneakers on Jean and Jerome.... well let us just say... Jeff do you recognize them? Should have held on to them they are back in style!!! Jan, it is not bad enough that you have a plaid shirt on and a wide belt but what's with the ring on the right hand???? was that clue??? Is it me or do Jean's arms in the middle picture look like we might have evolved from ... well never mind. Was Jeff really a whole head taller than me or did Jan's hands ......??? Absolutely love it and hope others do to. Jayson we have progressed we now take 100 pictures in a shorter time and can see them instantly. Thanks, Jayson.
Great job on the cards Jayson!!!! I think that they are great as long as dad doesn't get any ideas about doing this with ours when we get older and our kids are doing this for us. Also wanted to say Happy Birthday to all of you December birthdays as well as Merry Christmas to all.
Trust me Troop, I think Dad could start looking now for all those pictures and not be able to find them before our kids are capable of posting them.
Jayson, great job on the pictures from the past. It brought back a lot of memories. I'm sure most of the boys don't remember but in the 60's Papa was a substitute for the Post Office and you usually hoped to get out at 3:30 on Christmas Eve. Most of the time you were sent out to help the regulars to finish his route. One year Papa was sent out to help finish the route on davidson and cooper streets. When he met the carrier.he had hardly begun his route. Seems there were a few too many bars to deliver to between Main Ave and Main street. Papa started to deliver , get the mail to the patrons and so he delivered until about 6:30 reading addresses by streetlight. Our house was full of joy and happiness. One Christmas Uncle Mike broke Jerome's Big football kicker Leg came right off. Couldn't get replaced as it was a big seller and everyone was out. Jay and JoAnn came to the house early one Christmas morning pulling Jayson on a sled.Another Christmas It snowed all day and Sacketties stopped that night to play games. I'm sure Jerome would like to forget the Christmas he carried the Baby Jesus to put him im the stable. Little blue suit and all. Is he ever lucky no one had a camera. Doesn't anyone else who used to reside at 680 Davidson street, Watertown, have any fond or funny mementoes of the past. Would enjoy hearing about any and all.Happy birthday to our dec angels and Merry Christmas to all.May God continue to give each and everyone his blessing. Love to all.
