APPLE PICKING 2007

Another wonderful family outing today when the St. Croix's went apple picking. Nice brisk day and we got an early start. I think Julian ate the most, Julia picked the biggest, Justyn climbed the highest, Jaymeson stomped the best thanks to Uncle Chubby, Eva picked the most, Hannah and Jennah rode the horses the most and Jeremyah and Jenson just came along for the ride. It seems Jill recalled picking apples with twins, what about this year??? What did Anthony Appleseed plant? Stay tuned.......... We missed big Papa and Grandma this year but the great grandchildren brought them back some samples they picked especially for them. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Okay side by side you can tell them apart? Right? Actually I think this is the only time they stood still long enough to get a picture of them side by side with both smiling so I thought I would post it!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those wondering Jennah is on your left with a piece of fruit snack below her lip and Hannah is on the right.

Anyone remember this fishing hole?

My wife and I took a ride the other day to enjoy this beautiful fall weather and ended up over by Association Island. We went as far as the bridge where we use to fish as kids. I recall perch being the catch of day and anything over 4" seemed huge!!!! Didn't Howard and Emma take us while Dad worked and Mom laid in the sun developing her tan at the cottage and reading her Good Housekeeping magazine??????????? Anyone else recall????

St. Croix's Help Family Priest Celebrate 40th

The St. Croix's were well represented as we helped Fr. Kennedy celebrate his 40th anniversary of the priesthood. It was a wonderful event held at the North Side Improvement League. Mom and Dad Saint along with Jeff & Rose; Jay & Jo Ann; James & Kerry; and Jean & Cathy were in attendance. I was able to snap a picture of the fine young men that Fr. Kennedy tried to corrupt or recruit I don't know which. Jean did a wonderful job at public speaking so I guess we know who to call upon when needed in the future!!!! Nice job Jean I might be a little prejudice but you by far were the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pumpkin Patch Kids

The St. Croix's visited the pumpkin patch on Sunday. Jayson (Janice Jr.) takes after Mom looking at the far end of the forest oh I mean pumpkin patch for the perfect pumpkin!!! See Jayson way way in the back of one picture where you can see Dunk!!!! Great place to pick your own pumpkin at a great bargain. Notice that in one of the pictures it looks like Anthony might have a pair....... now if Jill would just let him use them!!!!! Very nice time with the grandkids and family. Hope my wheel chair will make it down the hill when Jared joins in some day!!!

Julia's 4th Birthday

Julia celebrated her 4th birthday with the help of family & friends. All the cousins and friends surely made her feel like a true princess on her birthday. Her bookend sisters were very helpful in sampling the cake.....just in case someone from fairytale land poisoned it!!!!

Jim St. Croix "DESIRE & QUICKNESS"

Found this article of Jim when he played football at IHC. I thought other "small in height" people may appreciate it, especially his kids. The writer obviously never saw Jon, Jan, and Joel when they played...... Four interceptions and returned one for 50 yards and a touchdown. He also fell on three fumbles. We'll have to ask his boys if the quickness is still there.

Lowville Cream Cheese Festival

So Jean has invited us to the Cream Cheese Festival for years and we finally made it! We can only share a side view of one of many interesting characters we met that day. No this wasn't the quarter toss game, no his name wasn't Phil, and no that is not fake fur covering the biggest crack with a weggie combo I have ever seen!!!! I honestly think he was waiting for the cream cheese death butt grip pick up race where one competes for .... never mind I think you get my drift. So next year I promise this is an event you don't want to miss. Honestly we had a great time as the picture indicates..... We'll be sure and make it an annual event.

Sunday, September 23rd is Grandpa Traynor's Mass. The Mass is at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church. We will be having breakfast/brunch at Jay and Jo Ann's house after the Mass. Anyone is welcome, please bring your families, we'll bring Nana!

Anthony may not have a boy yet and who needs one with these two wrestlers!!!! Jennah pushes Hannah and Hannah kicks her off the couch. Blat,,,,Blat and they are right back at it. I will post the film if I figure out how to do it.

St. Croix grandkids visit Super Why?????

Papa Jay's and Grandma Jo's grandchildren all went to meet Super Why today!!!! Why....... I am still asking myself. It was like an oven in the Fairgrounds YMCA, you had to go to stations that kids really could not do without adult assistance (paint, glue, staple, cut, etc.....) but hey they all got a free book. Look for Super Why on PBS he was created by the same people that created Blues Clues. I even had my picture taken with this celebrity but we won't post it!!!!!

Engagement - Jo Anna

Congratulations go out to Jo Anna and Sean. We understand he asked and she said yes. Jo wants to finish school first so they are looking down the road at August 2009. Won't you be mine in 2009!!!! Nothing but the best wishes for the both of you. Good luck. Congratulations Jon.....one almost down and 4 to go or maybe more?????

FIRST DAY of SCHOOL - SPECIAL FAMILY DAY

Justyn Anthony St. Croix entered his first day of school today at Immaculate Heart Primary School. He is the fifth generation of St. Croix's to attend the Catholic School System. I doubt the good nuns would have ever guessed the "St. Croix's" would still be a part of the system when they started the school system or when Ursula McDonald St. Croix graduated from IHA High School. Even though the name means holy cross I am sure the good Sisters said holy something about all of us at some time or another. Let's hope Justyn acts more like Papa Jay than his Dad, Big Papa and an Aunt and few Uncles (some great and I don't mean good)!!!! I am sure it will be hard for him with classmates like: Bombard (Delaney grandchild); Wise (Renzi & Wise); Bartleson grandchild; Marzano grandchild and Trombley grandchild.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

The first day of pre-school for these two little cousins. Lets just say Julia was more excited than Jaymeson. Jaymeson did say they had lots of toys and he knows Matt Doldo (poor teacher)!!!

Julia is with McKenna Clough so I am sure they'll have a good time.

Future Forces?

As Dunc was auditioning for Bill Murray's role as Carl, Eva was gripping and ripping like Big Jon....Daly that is. They heard how competitive the SOMBA is and they wanted to be ready for the call up. We found out something very important though, Eva holds a grudge for a very long time (does that sound like anyone we know?). I can't imagine why Eva won't stand closer to Dunc? Dunc loves your hair Eva!
