Happy Thanksgiving

Happy thanksgiving to all. I thought I would share a few pictures I found for this holiday. In the first picture we reflect on what the turkey feels like....bon appetit with the stuffing. The second shows Governor Paterson out trying to find a fresh turkey. The last picture says bring on the food I'm ready. May the bird be with you on Thursday!!!!

5 Generations

Generation after generation things get passed on but to have 4 sets of 5 generations in the same room sharing good times is unique. The pictures were not intentionally downloaded by number of great great grandchildren but it is pretty cool that they went 4 - 3 - 2- 1. Anybody up to having 5????

Dad and his BOYS or ....

Do you think we can say Dad and his merry men? As all of us have our own boys and some of us approach retirement I think "men" sounds better than boys!!! After all some of us have crossed over to grandpa as well. If anyone has a recent picture of Joel we could always photo shop! It was so nice to see twins still dress the same even at 50 and should remember that black is truly slimming!!!

Celebrating Dad's 75th Birthday

Here are a few shots of Dad's celebration of 75 years. I thought it was a wonderful family event and even though we missed a few I think Dad was very pleased. And the best part......no mess, no cooking and no clean up......mine and Jeff's dish pan hands really appreciated it!!!! The best quote of the day was from Justyn who said: "this is the best breakfast he has ever had!" The final count was 51, good Lord if all showed we would have needed the whole banquet hall. Please mark your calendars now for April and I vote to do the same thing!!!!

Jeremyah's 2nd Birthday

Jeremyah celebrated his 2nd birthday with his cousins and family. The cake was cool and big hit for the boys. My started to cry when they set the construction vehicle candles on fire!!! Busy weekend but a good time had by all.

Golfers

A Recent study found that the average golfer walks about 900 miles per year.

Another study found that the average golfer drinks about 22 gallons of alcohol per year.

That means, on average, golfers get about 41 miles per gallon.

Makes you feel proud dosent it! Almost like a hybrid!

Sunday Papa's Brunch

I know Papa won't read this as he doesn't get on the computer so please don't share it with him. This Sunday anyone who is available is welcomed to join us at a Brunch at the Carriage House at 11:30 a.m. to celebrate his birthday. I know it is a week early but this Sunday seems to work the the best for most of us. Sorry to anyone who has something on but in this family it is impossible to find some time where it doesn't interfere with something. If you need any further information please let me know. I hope to see you there. We will start right at 11:30 right after mass and so Mom can make the shower she needs to attend in the early afternoon.

Sorry Mickey I forgot your day

I forgot to put Mickey Mouse on our birthday list and certainly he is part of this family. Mickey turned 80 today and it is hard to believe he is older than Papa but it is true. He has hardly aged compared to Papa who will celebrate his 75Th this month. I am really disappointed that Amy didn't bring this to my attention, her membership in the Mickey Mouse Club is now in jeopardy. Happy Birthday Mickey and please join us while we celebrate Goofy's er I mean Papa's birthday!!!

New golf club improves flow of the game - it's a urinal
BY OREN YANIV DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
Wednesday, November 12th 2008, 4:00 AM

'I used to hit my ball directly into the woods so I can urinate,' says one happy UroClub customer. 'You took five strokes off my game.'
Ever had to go while playing golf? Can't hold it for all 18 holes?
A New York-born urologist came up with a solution to golfers' bothered bladders - a faux club that fits in a golf bag, but is really a mobile urinal.
"I wanted people to feel a level of comfort," said
Dr. Floyd Seskin, inventor of the UroClub. "Worry where the pin is, not where's the next bathroom."
His inspiration came after a patient who underwent a prostate procedure came back months later to rave about his improved condition.

"I used to hit my ball directly into the woods so I can urinate," the man told Seskin. "You took five strokes off my game."
Seskin, 49, who lives in
Miami Beach, set out to find a device that can help other golf enthusiasts, many of whom are over 50 and suffer from prostate problems.
He came up with a contraption that looks like a 7-iron with a wider opening on top, a handle that can hold about half a liter of liquid and - most importantly - a tight-fitting seal.

It comes with a golf towel that attaches to the belt and the club to allow a private, hands-free relief.
"You can do it anywhere," Seskin insisted. "It looks like you're practicing your swing or something."
He said many golf courses, especially ones near homes, fine players for passing water outdoors and that a lot of golfers don't hydrate enough to avoid the urge.
Though initial reactions to the UroClub often include quizzical stares, the response has been positive, Seskin said. About 1,000 have been sold in the few months since the product went on the market.
"It makes a great gift item for any golfer," said Seskin, who grew up in
Syosset, L.I., and went to medical school in Brooklyn and Albany.
The UroClub is not available in stores, but can be bought through uroclub.com or by calling 866-999-4URO. It retails for $24.95 plus shipping.

NOVEMBER Birthdays & Events

Sorry for the delay bloggers but I just got back to town last night. I am taking the birthdays off of last year's list so I miss any one's b'day or special celebration write in and let me know and I will add it. So before the bird is on the table here are November's Special Day:

November 10 - Eva turns 5 but celebrated this past weekend.

November 19 - Jeremyah turns 2 and I know why they call them terrible two's, between his two's and trying to keep up with his bros, Jess and Becky are busy.

November 19 - Tony Disisto also celebrates his special day. Maybe he'd come up to celebrate with Mymy. Tony what do you think about a doodle bop theme to celebrate???

November 30 - Papa will celebrate his 75Th birthday. Can't let a special day like this go uncelebrated so if anyone has any ideas let us know.

Those are all I have unless I missed someone. Happy birthday and remember to give a birthday salute to Papa right after the bird (turkey bird that is..)!!!

Vote on Election Day

Well this election you have met many different characters that have tried to encourage you to vote. I am no different....you have heard of Joe the Plumber, Joe Six Pack and Joe Biden. Let me introduce myself.....I am Joe Tata and I want to keep you abreast of this election. Only real boobs will fail to exercise their right to vote. This election may be a real nip and tuck with one side getting a nice rack of votes. My words of advice are titillating....get out and vote!!! and Oh mama I am liking Obama but he will never replace you!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween with snow on the ground

It was a nice night all things considered. I am not sure if I had more people knock on the door or for pizza. There was a lot of activity at the house and went through 3 buckets of candy (not to say that we followed Nana's orders and we may have gave out more than one piece, right Sam?). Emma was suppose to help us but she dished us for her friends can you believe that? We all had fun and by the end of the night the kids had reached their sugar high. I just want to know one thing....how came at their age it gives them energy and at my age it gives me more flab and fatigue??? I will try and get the November B'days done this coming week.

One trick or treater skipped my house

I wish this little trick or treater would have knocked on my door!!!! I hope someone gets Gramps a camera for Christmas!!! and that he learns how to post before his identical twin!!! Thanks for the treat guys and Jessie from Albany. Feel free to send me some more. If you want to bring this little Turkey up for the next holiday we will probably eat around 5 or so.
