Howard's Restaurant

A blast from the past. I was told that Howard's Restaurant was shown on a Jefferson County website with many City landmarks from the past. Little did we know that Nana's place was considered an important City establishment among Churches, mansions, hotels and other places. For you youngsters it is now called Schuler's but not the same as when Howard E. Traynor ran it!!!! Right bros???

Boys will be Boys.....

From digging a new foundation for the house to home run derby, "boys will be boys" but really Uncle Jared aren't you a little big for the playground????

The sweetest Angel!

The sweetest little girl a parent could want. She had several comments at Rockefeller Center on how cute she was and talked to all. Offered foreign visitors in the elevator a greeting and just a delight to have around for about 3 to 4 hours of car ride anyway. "You go girl" and the next time we spend some quality shopping time at Macy's you can have a milk shake!!!

Dunk has foot surgery in NYC

Poor Dunk had to have surgery in NYC on Friday on his foot. Here are some pictures of Dunk's "suffering" experience in the Big Apple. He went to the fire station and later bought some NYC Fire merchandise. He went to Toys R Us where he met Spidy, Geoffrey and saw Speed's car. His father bought a "few" things for him there to help with his emotions!!! All went well. He even got to buy all new shoes as the Doctor advised to throw everything away to help his foot. Oh by the way his sister went along to support him. I may post some pictures of her later, good thing Papa and Grandma got to spend some quality time with her while her parents were with Dunk in the Doctor's office otherwise she was pretty much neglected.

I AM A RANGER

Seems some hockey teams have successful programs and Dunk was just proud to have his picture taken in front of a banner of a winning team. I think I heard him say: "Keep the cup on this side of the border, Tone-dog!!!!"

Proof Blood is Thicker When Family Comes Together

"If you can dodge a hammer you can dodge a ball". This wise old adage came true this saturday afternoon. Uncle Jonnie Cake (aka Capitan) assembled a team of all stars to compete in the Mike Cerroni Dodgeball tournament at a school that will not be mentioned in my blog. The team of Jayson, Jared, Amy, Jonna, Josh and Alexis took home the trophy in the adult division that consisted of 12 teams in a double elimination format. Jared and Josh did most of the heavy work with thier blistering heaters and accuracy while ALexis and Jonna held thier own eliminating some of the other teams top dudes. I did the sniping while Amy chased balls in a way that would make Spitzer envious. It was a fun time and we look forward to repeating next year. I just hope that Jess doesn't get a team in next year as I wouldn't want to be on the other end of his heater. Oh, did I mention that when the high schoolers challenged us, we got smoked!!! Sorry there is no picture, I assume Sister Kodak didn't know about it or was too busy watching figure skating. Proof will be forthcoming when it appears in the Carthage newspaper.

This is Noah - Jerome's oldest SON!

To Dad - let this be a lesson to all parents: when you mellow and let the babies in the family get away with everything and don't make them have short hair like you did with those that were in the front of the litter they in turn never learn from you that all children must have short hair. Lesson: you must be consistent as a parent from oldest to youngest or it will show in the generations to come!!! Sorry Noah, I bet the girls love it!!!

Happy B'day Mom - the Perfect Present!!!

We celebrated Mom's Birthday after church with a brunch put on by Rose. Mom got the perfect present when her "little baby" (Jerome) showed to help celebrate her day!!! Way to go Jerome - no one will top this one, not even Jon (who sent a lame "illness" excuse not to attend)!!! Good thing Jean was able to cover for Jon and pick up a cake. Jerome brought his two clones (Noah & Riley) and Roman. Perfect day and great brunch.....Jeffy must have been cooking all night. Thanks Rose for everything and also Mark for doing the eggs. Never saw Matt, Monica or Mike cook, I guess Mark is more talented. Life is precious, Love is contagious and today was another Lasting memory for the family album. Jerome, thanks for stopping to see Nana but even she (who is legally blind) remarked that Noah might need a trim!!!!

Purple & White Lacrosse Coach

I know it is lacrosse season but with winds at 90 miles an hour and freezing out do you really think shorts are appropriate? Are you legs painted purple or just cold? Nice game but too windy and cold for me to watch you work.
