Saturday Lunch: With cousins and family.

Saturday Games: Teaming up with the family for some fun. Along with swimming, playing on the blow ups, playground, visiting, and relaxing.

Saturday Supper: What a spread ..... I don't think the planning department left anything off the menu and with the adult nieces and nephews bringing things we'll all be moving up a size.

Saturday Night: Sitting and relaxing as all recapped a wonderful day.

Remember When......

Children will play while Adults will savor the day. When I am older and grey more memories like this I will pray.

Big Family

Its amazing how many family members attended the reunion and enjoyed the get together. Hard to imagine that Grampa St.Croix (John Albert St.Croix, Big Papa's Father )was an only child and on this occasion there were 47 descendants present. It was a great get together and fun to see that the torch had been passed. In the games Our boys and wives did not participate. The participants included grandchildren and great grandchildren. No team had a husband or wife or sister or brother or child. They were all divided up. Took a lot of work Jon. Good Job. The competiveness of the St Croix's was well noticed. It's part of their heritage. You have to work hard to stay ahead. Noah, Sam and Mark enjoyed the pool. Riley and Julian had fun and Roman and Jaymeson joined together.4 of the little ones crashed and took a nap. Caroline liked the peanut game and I think Mike soaked his cell phone with the water game. The games were the highlight of the day . Wiith each team making their own banner they all worked together including the wee ones who helped paint. Rumor has it Jonna helped Eva carry her peanut. The final swim gave Jared a few scratches. Should know your Sister is as competitive as you are. We also met 3 new young men who we guess are ready to join the clan. Lotz of good company , everyone had a chance to catch up on what the others had been doing the past year. Kudos to the commiteemen Jon and Jan. 2 Teams tied for golf winners. Thanks to Jay & JoAnn for hosting at the compound. All in all can't help but say it was a great day with great weather. We missed those who couldn't attend but hope next year we'll add a few more to the clan including a couple new ones. Thank you to all and if Papa and I pop a few buttons its because you all make us so proud of our great family.

Jon & Jan meet with an old friend

It seems that Jon and Jan caught up with an old friend this weekend at the SOMBA. He must either be a "real old" friend because he has little hair or that saying is true: "grass doesn't grow on a busy highway". We'll let you be the judge. Actually all kidding a side, Craig Jennings went all the way through school with Jon and Jan. He is a good old north side kid that has always been part of the St. Croix extended family. I am so glad he stopped by to say hello and have a beer or two or three or four or even eight. Craig is super guy who lives in Virginia but still a Yankee and SU fan for sure. Craig came to our rescue during the reunion games when Mom and Dad couldn't narrow down the winning flag design down to just one. Craig sided with Mom to break the tie. I guess he knows a Mom is always right!!!! Now that Craig has found his way back home we hope to see more of him in the future.

ST. CROIX FAMILY REUNION

The St. Croix Family Reunion 2007 was a "HUGE" success. A great time visiting and the fun had by the cousins says it all. A special thank you to the photographer of this picture who came all the way from Virginia for the event, thanks Craig.

Cart3 Jean Jared
Cart 4 Jeff Mike

Back 9:

Jeff Mike
Jon Jayson

As always, input is welcome...whether or not I will listen is another story.
Get ready to say NEPHEW!!!

Tighty Whitey Convention

It appears it is tighty whitey day in Papa Jay's yard on a hot summer day. All you need is a pair of tighty whiteys and you can join these cousins anytime!!! Sorry Julia, girls must wear bathing suits.......

Twins Celebrate Terrible Twos

Turning two is not so terrible when you celebrate it with family and friends. Great party and twice the fun with two turning two. I am sure someday when they look back......

they'll always remember and talk about times like this ...... thanks to all that made it a special day for these two little tinker bells.

The best part of families....Uncles....

Justyn and Jared at T-Ball. One of the best parts of a large family is having Uncles. I guess Jared learned from the best:.... his Uncles, BUT I don't think even they would have offered the PINK bat to use...or maybe Jean might have not knowing what color it was. I hope one of Justyn's Uncles teach him how to run ... a slow skip won't cut it in baseball unless you can drive the ball like his father. Go Yankees!!!

Sorry Jon someone beat you by years....try again in about 25 years.

Sen. Alfonse D'Amato (R-N.Y.) embraces former Gov. George Pataki (R-N.Y.) after finding out the Republicans will have the oldest male to father a baby in New York State. At 70 D'Amato steals the record which was held for short time by a Jon St. Croix from West Carthage. It is not clear if St. Croix will try again in a few years or decades to get the title back.

and the poll lead goes to.....

Why is Jon in the lead? Look at how he is preparing for the SOMBA Classic! He should be well rested and ready to play in another several weeks or so. I hope someone wakes him from his nap in time.

update

Hi everyone- just got back from the hospital a little while ago to grab a bite to eat and stuff. No real news, but my dad is still doing well- he's been sleeping a lot and ate, so thats a positive. The nurse said he has to lay on his back until at least 6ish, which of course is driving him crazy. He has already requested that my cousin Anne Marie call him to tell him how the girls bball team did in summer league, so you know hes pretty much himself. The plan if all goes ok is that he will be discharged in the morning. I'll keep updates coming through grandma and papa if there is anything to report, but I think thats about it. Thanks for all the prayers!

update from Monica

Jeff is still flat on his back but Rose was feeding him. Still awfully sleepy and staying overnight at hospital. papa says great minds think a like because both he and Michael said " If he's eating things are okay".

news from Rose

Jeff is down from surgery and in recovery room. Very sleepy and Rose expects to get in to see him shortly. Dr said things went ok. He did everything he wanted to do.It will take a couple of months while it heals and then a couple of months to get medicine out of system. Rose will check back if anything is different. Thanks for the prayers. Thank you Lord, St Jude and Blessed Mother.
If you have a spare moment stop and offer a prayer that the surgery will go ok and Jeff will come through with flying colors. Rose called at 9:00 and he had been taken up. They don't expect to hear anything till early afternoon. Will post and let everyone know more news then.

Revised Somba Teams

Due to unfortunate incident jimmer and family wont be attending. i Hear a few of the returning champs did not like the no gimme putts and are boycotting. Kidding however the new teams are as follow :

Jess has "HOT" clubs

I hear Jess's clubs are so HOT now that they may burn you!!! Let's hope for his SOMBA team they stay that way. I am sure he will "come bust on" you if you don't do as well as he does.....

Thank God everything was okay, if you lived in Carthage and the way Jon moves you would have lost everything.

Our Dear cousin Matt

Here comes Matt,
Injured himself saving a cat,
He now sports a wheelchair
with room for a lap dance to spare,
Did the lady in red have a tat?
